Ellis L. McKimmy, 73, of Beaverton City, died Monday, August 21, at the Clare Hospital following a long illness. A resident of Gladwin County since 1905, he was born in Metamora, Ohio, October 18, 1898. He was the owner an operator of the Beaverton Concrete Works from 1928 to 1958. Mr. McKimmy was a member of the Beaverton Church of the Brethren and Beaverton Masonic Lodge. He and the former Velma Cochran were married July 3, 1927, in Beaverton.
