Passed away surrounded by his children in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Thursday, June 29, 2006. He was born in Burdette, Kansas on April 8, 1923.
He was married to Betty Cavitt for 57 years until she passed away 2005.
His World War II army service record included several service metals including the Bronze Star earned in the Battle of Luzon.
He played basketball for years and was known as the "Jetmore Giant." (Bob was 6'6") His height and skill helped him have a basketball career lead him to play against the Harlem Globetrotters and the All-American Redheads. He was also a local coach for basketball, football, and baseball. Sports was his love after the love for his family.
He is survived by his two sons, daughter-in-law, daughter and son-in-law, brother, sister, and two nephews, nine grandkids and three great-grandkids.
All of his family loved him very much. Our dad never met a stranger and enjoyed life to the fullest but it was never the same without his beloved wife and our mother. May they rest in peace together again.
Viewing with the family will be Sunday between the hours of 5-7pm at Moore's Funeral Home Eastlawn Chapel at 1908 S. Memorial. Graveside services will be 10:00am on Mon., July 3rd at Floral Haven Cemetery 6500 S 129th E. Ave.
