Norman L. Stahel of Wausau died Mar 2, 2011, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Norman was born Mar 3, 1928, to the late Reinhart and Viola (Langhoff) Stahel in the town of Stettin. After grade school, he worked on the family farm and for various other farmers. In 1950, he started working at Kolbe Brothers Lumber Co., retiring in 2000.
Norman loved polka dancing and went to Melody Inn on Sunday afternoons, where he met Jeanette Brummond. They were married Jul 10, 1971, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wausau, and made their home on North Ninth Avenue.
Jeanette preceded him in death Sep 9, 2008. He was also preceded in death by sisters; Lydia Werner, Selma Evers, Leona Teske; brothers in-law, Alvin Werner, William Evers, Joseph Mohr, Gary Hermans and sisters-in-law; Jean Stahel and Clair Stahel.
Survivors include two brothers, Merlin and Melvin Stahel, of Marathon; three sisters, Esther Mohr and Lois Hermans of Marathon, and Verna (Walter) Baneck, of Wausau; brother-in-law, Raymond Teske of Wausau; and many nieces nephews, relatives and friends.
