Daughter of John (born December 23, 1815, in Prussia & died February 6, 1890) & Mary (Falk) (born October 4, 1836, in Bavaria, Germany & died January 27, 1906, in Furley, KS) (Frauck) Falk. Sister of Emma Evans, William, Rosa Minard, Frank, Mary & Charles. Wife of Charles Lewis Bowers - Lena & Charles were married on October 6, 1881, in Furley, KS.

Lena & Charles had the following children: Frank Harry, Mary Henrietta (Kenneck), Paul Jonas, Clara Elizabeth (Falk), John Charles, Blanche Lena (Brown), William Scott, Nellie Ethel (Falk), Samuel Lewis, Goldie Olive (Priddy / Anderson), Lucille & Ruby Emma (Priddy).

Lena & Charles lived on a farm at Furley, KS until January of 1862 when they moved to Payne County, about 1 mile north of Cushing, OK. In 1903, they moved from Cushing to what was then Woodward County to a homestead near Gate, OK; here they resided until 1922. At that time Lena, Charles & their two youngest daughters, Goldie & Ruby, moved to Chico, CA.

At an early age she became a member of the Methodist Church at Furley, KS where her family was living. After Lena & Charles moved to the Gate, OK area, she became a member & served as the Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Order at Gate, OK.

In February of 1948, because of ill health, Lena & Charles returned to Laverne, OK & made their home with their daughter, Blanche (Brown) until the death of Charles. In October after Charles' death, she returned to CA to reside with her daughter, Goldie (Taylor) in Anderson, CA. She resided there until July of 1953 at which time she returned to Laverne, OK & made her home with her son, William Bowers & his wife Osa.

Lena died at 3:00 pm on January 15, 1954 in the Shattuck Hospital.
