DIES AT 68 YEARS
Mrs. Ida Belle Andrews Sloan, aged 68 years, died at eight o'clock on the night of Dec. 11th, passing away at her home following a paralytic stroke on Dec. 10th. However she had been in ill health for a number of years. She is survived by her husband, Elder Isaac Newton Sloan, a Baptist minister of the Bransford section of Sumner County, where Mrs. Sloan had lived for a number of years; three sons, Harrison Sloan, of Rock Bridge, Sumner County; and Leslie and John Sloan, both of Indianapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Needie (should be Meadie) Shrum, also of Bransford; two brothers, Dave Andrews, of Westmoreland; and Joe Andrews, of Nashville; 14 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at twelve o'clock Thursday at Eulia General Baptist church by Elder G. O. Templeton, followed with burial in the Eulia Cemetery. She was a profesed Christian, although she was not identified with any church. She was the daughter of H. A. and Susan Cothron Andrews and was a native of Macon County.
