Mr. Sumerlin wa a World War II veteran and had lived in Waco all his life. He was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Naomi Sumerlin; his mother, Mrs. Ora D. Sumerlin of 1018 North Sixty-first; a daughter, Mrs. Allen (Donna) Bettinger of Lorena; two sons, Jerry Drews of Mexia and Rodney Drews of Waco; a brother, Travis Sumerlin of 2102 Reuter; a sister, Mrs. Frank C. Clampitt of 1018 N. Sixty-first; a stepdaughters, Mrs. Eldon DeHaven of Dallas; five stepsons, Lonnie Fogle, Robert Fogle, Bill Fogle, Jerry Fogle and Kenneth Fogle, all of Dallas.
