Willie Claude Walker, 80,of Waco, retired paving and asphalt contractor, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at China Spring Cemetery, the Rev. Doyle Lawless officiating.
The family will receive friends at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home from 3 to 5 Sunday.
Mr. Walker was born April 1, 1905 in Limestone County where he attended schools, after which he started farming in the China Spring area.
He was married to Annie Lee Wallace Dec. 30, 1930 in Valley Mills. He was a former employee of Downing Bros. Inc., working as a paving and asphalt contractor. He drove a school bus in the China Spring school district for a number of years. He was a member of Grace Temple Baptist Church of Waco.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Annice Marie Barger of Tyler; three brothers, J.W. Walker of Waco, Victor Earl Walker of Shreveport, LA., and O.D. Walker of China Spring; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
