Ranney S. Ealy Taken by Death -
Ranney S. (Doc) Ealy, 71 Kittitas valley resident for more than 40 years, died suddenly yesterday at Fetter's lumber mill, east of Ellensburg, apparently the victim of a heart attack. Ealy was employed at the mill.
A native of Albany, Ohio, Ealy in past years had farmed in various sections of the valley. Since the death of his wife, Josephine, five years ago, Ealy had resided with Mr. and Mrs. Perry Houston at 1102 East Capital avenue.
He was a member of the Ellensburg Odd Fellows lodge for many years.
Surviving relatives include Mrs. Orville Nelson of Ellensburg, Mrs. Doris Tamley of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Mrs. Ruth Yeager of Auburn, all nieces, and Richard Ealy of Auburn and Rosco and Chester Ealy, both of Seattle, all nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Honeycutt-Evenson chapel. Rev. Hardwick Harshman will officiate.
Graveside services will follow at the I.O.O.F. cemetery, with members of the Odd Fellows lodge in charge. Lodge members are asked to meet at the lodge hall at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
