George V. Allen, 72, died at 11am Tuesday at China Spring.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 pm Wednesday at the China Spring Baptist Church, Rev. Don V. Ritchie officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.
Survivors: three sons, Ernest Allen of Waco, Terry Allen of West, Johnnie Allen of Waco; four daughters, Mrs. Fennie (Pearl) Williams, Mrs. Elsie (Ruby) Sapp, Mrs. Roy (Lennie Mae) Davis all of Waco, and Mrs. Guy (Ina Opal) McCrary of Rock Creek; two brothers, Clint Allen of Merkel and Lee Allen of Boyd.
Active pallbearers: Will Davis, R.O. Garrett, Bunk Crawford, J.O. Woodward, Lawrence Pierce and Jake Talbert.
