Dale Williamson Armstrong, wife of J. Mabre Armstrong, died on Wednesday, February 23, 2011.

Born in 1923, Mrs. Armstrong was a lifelong Chattanoogan. She and Mabre observed their 69th wedding anniversary on December 21, 2010.

Dale was a devout Christian, loved the word of God and had memorized innumerable passages of Scripture. She taught Bible in the Chattanooga City Schools for several years. She reached out to many with Christian love and will be fondly remembered.

A 1941 graduate of Chattanooga City High School, she had patience in learning new things and was skilled at working in crafts, including stained glass.

Mrs. Armstrong will be missed by three Sons, Charles, Randy and Gary Armstrong; five grandchildren, Scott, Bryan, Anna and Cory Armstrong and Jennifer Krueger; and two great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Wesley Armstrong.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011 at the North Chapel.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the North Chapel with Rev. Garry Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37416.

Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
