Lisa Davis Raynor

Lisa Davis Raynor, 57, Seymour, passed away at 5:08 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.

Mrs. Raynor was a member of First Presbyterian Church, having directed the choir for more than 20 years. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1971 and attended Eastern Kentucky University. After graduating from college, she was a member of Musicana and performed at dinner theaters across the country. She enjoyed working in her craft room and sharing many laughs with her 13 closest high school classmates, affectionately known as her Mermaids. She was a member of Chi Omega and was a volunteer at Girls Inc. She retired from Seymour Community Schools as a music educator, having taught at Emerson and Brown Elementary schools, Seymour Middle School and Seymour High School.

Born Sept. 11, 1953, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Donald and Marilyn Eder Davis, both of whom preceded her in death.

Survivors include her three children, Matthew Raynor, Jessica (Grant) Olsen and Jordan Raynor; a large extended Davis family; and her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Paganini.

Pastor John Erickson will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Seymour.

Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Voss Chapel, Seymour, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church.

Arrangements are under direction of Voss & Sons Funeral Service and Tri-County Crematory, Seymour.
