OCALA -- Byron M. Craig, 83, retired secretary and treasurer of Camp Corp., died March, 21, 1992, at Marion Community Hospital.
A native of Glasgow, Ky., he came here in 1929 from Bowling Green, Ky.
Mr. Craig was a teacher at Ocala High School; organizing director of Fidelity Federal Savings and Loan Association of Ocala; member of the Kiwanis Club; past president and lieutenant governor of the Kiwanis Club; member of the First Baptist Church of Ocala; past president of the Marion County Chamber of Commerce; past member of the board of directors of the local Salvation Army and the Old Community Chest Organization; former trustee of Munroe Memorial Hospital; member of the Ocala Elks Lodge; and charter member of the Golden Hills Country Club.
Survivors include his wife, Lela Craig, Ocala; two daughters, Jan C. Lemasters, Melbourne, and Bobbye C. Duke, North Palm Beach; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Hiers Funeral Home, Ocala, is handling arrangements.
