                          DEATHS.
Ruley--
"Mrs. Eva P. Ruley died at her home 411 Kickapoo street, on Tuesday, July 22, at midnight of Catarrh or cancer of the stomach, tho the immediate cause was a clot on the brain from bursted blood vessel. Her disease had caused convulsions at irregular intervals for the past two years. She was the oldest daughter of J. N. and Emma L. Davis, and was married to A. N. Ruley, by Probate Judge Webb, at his home, 509 Utah street, Thanksgiving day, 1894. She was born in Hiawatha Nov. 19, 1876. She leaves her husband, her daughter Zoeline G. Ruley, nearly 18 years old, and son, Teddy A. N. Ruley, nearly 11 years old. At last the quartette that composed this little happy family is broken and the humble home is made desolate. The very short funeral services will be held at the home at 3:30 Friday afternoon by Rev. J. W. Carpenter, and the burial at the Hiawatha cemetery follow. The remains may be seen at the house from 2 to 4 p. m. Mr. Ruley's daughter, Mrs. Stella Gartner, arrived Wednesday noon from Lincoln to attend the funeral. Another daughter, Mrs. Del Grover, will come from Stockton and the son Thurston will come from Belleville. Mrs. Ruley's mother, who is visiting in Prairie Du Chien, Wis., will come for the funeral, and a sister, Mrs. Gladys Brown will come from Omaha."

A note about their marriage date:
The above obit says they were married Thanksgiving day. That would have been Nov 29, 1894 (the 5th Thurs, as it was celebrated the last Thurs. of the month until 12/26/1941 when Pres. Roosevelt signed into law a bill making Thksgvg a national holiday and setting it to the 4th Thurs. in Nov.).
But Eugene C. Davis, Eva's nephew, wrote in June 1942 that Eva, "married A.N. Ruley November 25, 1894 at Hiawatha."
While the birth announcement for their child, Zoeline, as well as Andrew's death notice both say Andrew & Eva were married Nov 28.
