Mrs. Jean McLennan Hinds Fulp, 72, of Crawford, the great-great-granddaughter of McLennan County founder, Neil McLennan, died Monday at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1987) at First United Methodist Church in Crawford, the Revs. Kenneth Bass and Judy Sands officiating. Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.
Mrs. Fulp was born Dec. 5, 1914, in China Spring. She attended China Spring schools and Waco High School and graduated from the National School of Business. She was secretary-treasurer of the East Crawford Water Corp. and a member of First United Methodist Church in Crawford where she served as a Methodist youth counselor.
She was past worthy matron of the Eastern Star in Crawford, past county president of the Home Demonstration Club, past president of the PTA of the Crawford schools, past Four-H Club counselor and chairwoman of the local March of Dimes. She was married to Edwin Hinds in 1938; he died in 1952. She was married to Loy Fulp in 1953.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Ruth Carole Schutza of Austin; two stepdaughters, Martha Pearson of Ruston, LA and Dixie Drummond of Austin; stepson, Charles Fulp of McGregor; two sisters, Sally Jo. Truhlar of Lincoln, NE and Louise Wharton of Oklahoma; two brothers, W.W. McLennan of Clifton and L.D. McLennan of New Waverly; a grandson; and sis step-grandchildren.
