Herschel R. (Tex) Gregory, 77, of China Spring, died Saturday at his home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Gene Moore officiating. Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Gregory was born Dec. 23, 1915, in Greenoch. He attended schools in China Spring and graduated from Waco High in 1935. He also attended Baylor University. Mr. Gregory served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Veda Swett July 10, 1949. He returned to Waco in 1974. He was a member of China Spring United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Gregory of Burlington, NC; sister, Alyeda Harrell of Bosqueville; brother, Thurman Gregory or Woodway; and a grandchild.
