BERRY -- James Ronald, affectionately known as Jimmy, left this world for Heaven peacefully in his sleep, Tuesday evening, December 12, 2000. He was born October 22, 1947 in Dallas, TX to Dr. James and Violet Berry. To all those who were lucky enough to get to know him, he will be greatly missed. Jimmy's love of life could be seen as he pursued many of his hobbies, which almost always were outdoors, camping and fishing, oil painting, watercolors, barbecuing, dirt bikes, sport cars and of course the animals. He was particularly fond of dogs and cats. He had great fun showing dogs in the ring. His fish collections were quite spectacular as well. His sense of humor and his great passion for enjoying life will be remembered always by all those who knew him. Jimmy graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1970 with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and devoted his life to it. Starting in Arizona with Interpoint Food, Inc., he worked his way up from Assistant Manager to a nationwide, top notch Efficiency Expert. Sorely missing Tulsa he left his accomplishment and came back to the Tulsa he loved and pursued his career in his home town. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, James in 1988. He is survived by: his mother, Violet and sister, Regina and husband, Gary Sorokes; and many relatives, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Service 10 a.m., Monday, Brookside Baptist Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Brookside Baptist Church. Ninde Funeral Directors, Garden Chapel, 742-5556. (Tulsa World)
