Died From Injuries
Walter Ash Could Not Stand The Racket
Never Rallied from the Effects of Amputation
By the Telegram Reporter:
Onsted, Nov. 23--The young man, Walter Ash, who was so badly injured last Sunday, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of Dr. Ross. Dr. North, of Tecumseh, the railroad physician, assisted by Dr. G. W. Ross, of Onsted, amputated the injured limb Wednesday afternoon, but the patient was too weak to endure the shock and never rallied. Miss Ash, a sister of the deceased, came on the Thursday morning train, only to find her brother gone. He was 24 years old the day he died, and it was the anniversary of the death of their father, who was also killed seven years ago. The ladies of the WCTU furnished some beautiful flowers. The remains were taken home by the sister on the 5:13 train Thursday evening.
