William J. Paulsen Tri County Record 1927

William J. Paulsen, 65, president of the Chilton National Bank, and a prominent Wisconsin Mason, died at his home in Chilton at 6 p.m. Sunday. His health had been poor since an operation at Mayo Bros. last March, and his condition became serious 13 weeks ago. He had been confined to his bed for the last two months. The deceased was born at Chilton in May, 1861, and was educated in the schools of that city., As a young man, he conducted a general merchandising store at the location now occupied by the Henry Kroll store. He had connected with the Chilton Nation Bank since its organization in 1901. He married Miss Louise Magnussen of Fond du Lac in 1882. Mr. Paulsen was active in Masonic circles and was a thirty-second degree Mason. He was a past master of Chilton Lodge No. 154, F and A M, and a past grand patron of the Wisconsin Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving Mr. Paulsen are his widow, Mrs. Louise Paulsen, one daughter, Miss Wilma Paulsen of Chilton, and four sisters, Mrs. Dorrit Roecker of Duluth, Mrs. Emma Schultheis of Minneapolis, Mrs. Minnie Guetersohn of Milwaukee and Mrs. Bertha Hipke of Chilton. Mayor A A Paulsen is a cousin of the deceased. Funeral services were conducted from the Masonic Temple at Chilton on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
