Parents were John C Grant and Jessie C Coutts Grant. She had one sister Winifred and one brother Ralph. She was born in Ardine, Scotland.

Lilly at the age of eight arrived in America with her mother, sister and brother on October 9, 1911 in New York City.

Lillian married Percy William Fry about 1923. They had two daughters, Patricia Wilma (1926-2003) and Dorothy J (1924-to before 1985).

The 1930 Census finds her and her husband Percy in San Diego, California. He listed his occupation as a proprietor of a music store. Bio by: JPCZim... Irisjcz of Blum_Pierce+Family_2008.

(MATERIAL BELOW WAS DONATED BY A NIECE OF LILLY AND IS THE DAUGHTER OF RALPH)

Lily, Winnie, Ralph and their mother Jessie came to the US in 1911 - six months prior to the the sinking of the Titanic.

The John & Jessie C. Grant family settled in La Mesa - near San Diego, CA. John and Jessie encouraged both their daughters to continue their education: and/but they each 'fell in love' with men who'd served in the military and were married youngish. Lilly's brother Ralph enrolled at U.C. Berkeley, worked part time at a bank during his student/college years, and was the first in his family to graduate university: from U.C. Berkeley in the early twenties.

Lilly Jane - known as Lillian, or, from my perspective. as "Aunt Lil'. She was a dear lady who lived to her elderhood, having outlived her eldest daughter Dorothy
and her husband Percy' Fry. She would sometimes say then, that "Perce and I will be going dancing soon". They seemed a 'much in love' couple
