Son of Ralph Artemas Harger and Lillian Ida Kenyon. He was a Surveyor by trade. He married Geraldine Cynthia Keyes. Their two children, Ronald & Kevin, were unmarried. The siblings of Sloan were Ralph, Sterling, Bernard, Althea and Pearl. All have passed away.

SLOAN K. HARGER, 84, of West Granby, died Tuesday November 4, 2003 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, son of the late Ralph and Lillian (Kenyon) Harger. He grew up in Hartford and lived in Granby for the last 48 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed by Operating Engineers Union Local 478 before retirement. He was a member of the Simsbury VFW.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, November 12, at 11 a.m. at the Hayes-Huling and Carmon Funeral Home, Granby, followed by a graveside service and burial, 12 noon at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown with military honors.
