RICHARD HATTON, 82, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2007, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, W.Va., by Pastor Michael Dillon. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, W.Va. He was born September 19, 1925, in Huntington, a son of the late John Laken and Effie Adams Hatton. He was a retired shipping supervisor for the Huntington State Hospital and also a former employee for Kroger in Proctorville, Ohio, and a former meat cutter for A&P. Richard was also a Deacon and member of Beech Fork Chapel. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Preceding him in death were his first wife, Bette Newman Hatton; two daughters, Jeannie Williamson and Sheila McCormick; a son, Richard Michael Hatton; an infant son; and two brothers, Ralph and John Laken Hatton Jr. Survivors include his wife, Eunice Wilson Hatton; a daughter, Brenda Hatton; a son, Terry Hatton and wife, Tammy; two stepsons, David Wilson and wife Michelle and Homer Dennis Wilson and wife Cori; five sisters, Betty Randguard, Mildred Rice and husband Merle, Phyllis Morrison and husband Bill, Patricia Bryan and Peggy Roberts and husband Wendell; two brothers, Robert Hatton and wife Diane and Charles Hatton; 12 grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one stepgreat-grandson.
