Beth was born Feb. 11, 1926 in Golden, Colo. to Nathaniel and Anna ( Bolejack ) Weddle. She spent her early years in the Denver area, graduating from Mile High Academy. She attended Union College in Lincoln, Neb. where she received her teaching degree.
During this time she met her future husband Leonard Forshee.
They married in 1947. The couple returned to Colorado where they both taught school for several years along with being engaged in ranching and construction.
She went to work for Dr.
Thurston in Craig, Colo. and felt the need to further her education in the healthcare profession. She attended Mesa College in Grand Junction, Colo. to get her registered nursing degree. She returned to Craig and continued working for Dr. Thurston for many more years.
The family relocated to Evening Shade, Ark. in 1973 where she lived for almost 30 years. She moved to Wyoming in 2003 to be closer to family, living in Ten Sleep for a short time. She moved to Powell and then Cody to an assisted living facility before moving to Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation two months ago.
Beth enjoyed reading and loved animals of all kinds. She also knitted and raised a large garden while she was raising her family.
She loved flowers and was very involved in her church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son Mark; and one sister Ruth Swena.
Beth is survived by two sons Frank Forshee of Hyattville and Norman Forshee of Henderson, Ark.; one daughter Shelly (Bobby) Braxton of Lynchburg, Va.; one brother Jeff Weddle of Fallon, Nev.; grandchildren Misty Forshee, Nathan (Adrienne) Forshee, Jenny Sodders, Sarah Sodders/ Riner, Megan Sodders, Andrew Kirby and Beau Nelson; and great-grandchildren Caden and Wyatt Bolken, Kruze Forshee, Dylan Rowlett, Allen and Alycia Watson, Heaven Riner and Ronnie Riner Jr.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 at 4 p.m. at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Worland with Pastor Regan Scherencel officiating. Burial of the ashes will take place at a later date in the Powell Chapel Cemetery in Evening Shade.
Memorial donations may be made to the Esther Ruckman Ever-loving Fund (to assist local families with costs from cancer treatments) in care of Bryant Funeral Home, P. O. Box 524, Worland, Wyo. 82401.
