"Rev. R. W. Bailey to Occupy Pulpit at Dublin. The Rev. R. W. Bailey, of Mayfield, and evangelist of the American Baptist Association has been requested to occupy the pulpit of Dublin Baptist Church at both hours next Sunday. The Pastor, Rev. Brron Cullen, is engaged in a revival meeting in Cairo, Ill., and secured the service of Mr. Bailey for this occasion. The sermon themes for the two services as announced by Mr. Bailey, will be: In the morning, "Faith, the Golden Cord of Life", and in the evening, "Neglect, the Magic Wand of Death". These themes will deal with the many of the intricate problem and principles of life, character and destiny, both from the practical and psychic standpoint as revealed in the Bible, yet presented in the spirit of sympathetic love."

Two of many newspaper articles saved by his sister, Elnora Bailey Janes, during the 1920's and 1930's.
