WAVERLY — Dolly May Abbott Hope, 78, Waverly, passed away at 11 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2012, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson.
She was born in Henderson to Evan and Dorothy Byrd Abbott. Dolly worked as a clerk at The Pantry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John David "J.D." Hope; her parents, Evan Charles and Dorothy Byrd Abbott; one sister, Edith Wilson; one grandson, Danny Dale "Dan" Fowler Jr.; and one son-in-law, Tony Howell.
Survivors include six daughters, Kathy Snellen and her husband, Bob, of Smith Mills, Karen Smith and her husband, Owen, of Flora, Ill., Dava Fowler and her husband, Danny, of Morganfield, Kristy Howell of Corydon, Susan Holmes and her husband, Hal, of Grapevine, Texas, and Maria Sale and her husband, Bill, of Henderson; one sister, Sue Howell of Henderson; three brothers, Jerry Abbott of Hopkinsville, Tommy Abbott of Castle Rock, Colo., and Bev Abbott of Robards; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
There will be no service.
