William E. Hitchcock
William E. Hitchcock, 59, of Manchester Depot, who had been in the electrical business in the area until his retirement several years ago because of ill health, died Sunday in a Rutland Nursing Home.
The son of William and Frances (Lakin) Hitchcock, he was born in Manchester March 5, 1912. He attended schools in Manchester and was a graduate of Burr & Burton Seminary.
Survivors are his mother of Rutland; a son, Thomas W. of Underhill; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Genzebella and Mrs. Elizabeth Rood, both of Dalton, Mass.; a brother, Philip of Manchester Deport; a sister, Mrs. Helen Walla of California; 13 grandchildren and a niece.
A graveside services will be held Tuesday at 3:30 pm at Factory Point Cemetery in Manchester Center. The Rev. Lester Tufts, pastor of the East Dorset Congregational Church will officiate ther service. There are no calling hours.
Brewster Funeral Home of Manchester Center is handling funeral arrangements.
