Shirley Ann (Linda Carol)Stanton Staton Burney was the baby girl of 17 children of William Charles Stanton and Florence Kidwell Stanton from Hoffman, OK. Linda was born and raised between Tiger Mountain and Wildcat Junction. Being a farmer's daughter busting dirt as a child was a familiar chore for all the Stanton children. Farming made Linda just one of the many hard working, God fearing woman of her time. Many of us in the family considered her a second Mom and she was famous for her love of American Band Stand. She is dancing with Jesus now on those golden floors of Heavens Band Stand. She is as beautiful inside as she was out and you always knew where you stood with her. True to her own self she married the love of her life Cecil (Hooty) Burney and lived a wonderful life with him.

She is survived by her Husband: Cecil (Hooty) Burney, Sons: Charles William Staton and Timothy Clay Staton,Grand daughter: Ashley Staton Emmerson, Grandsons: Robert Staton and Jared Staton, Conrad Staton,Great grand daughter will be posted later, Sisters: Rowena(Dooty) Brownfield,Dolly Norma Sue (Sue) Hodge, Brothers Larry (Mick)Stanton, Kenneth (Toad) Stanton, and unlimited niece and nephews.

Linda Lived to love, Loved to laugh and Laughed with a hardy HA HA HA as though she were mocking the devil that she got all three: To Live , To Love and To Laugh
