NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. — Mary Katherine Fox Lambert of the Divides, North Tazewell, Va., passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the Bland County Rehab and Nursing Facility. She was born in Cove Creek, Va. to the late Simon P. Fox and Lettie May Neel Fox.
She was employed by National Electric Coil and Marion Electric Company for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin L. Lambert; two brothers, Jim N. Fox and William (Bill) Fox; and a sister, Virginia Lee Beavers. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include her sons, Robert L. Lambert and wife Kay, North Tazewell, Va., Larry W. Lambert and wife Barbara, Bluefield, Va.; grandchildren, Amy Kennedy and husband Terry of Bluefield, Va., Andy Lambert and wife Sarah of Lynchburg, Va., Chad Lambert and wife Cindy of Bluefield, Va., and Wes Lambert of Bluefield, Va.; five great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Makellyn Kennedy, Carly Lambert, and Conner and Campbell Lambert; special caregivers, Teresa Mitchem, Total Home Care Hospice, and the Bland County Rehab and Nursing Facility.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with her grandsons, Chad Lambert and Wes Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandsons and family members. Honorary pallbearer will be James (Will) Fox. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services.
