George Oscar Kinniard, 90, a retired farmer of Silver Point, Rt. 1, died at the Cookeville General Hospital,
Thursday, October 28 following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 30, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Baxter Funeral Home with Rev. Truman Graves officiating. Burial will be in the Smellage Cemetery, the body is at the above funeral home.
A native of Putnam County, he was the son of Pleas (Pleasant Bohanan) and Margaret Lowe Kinniard.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Linnie McCulley, Wilmington, CA; three sisters, Mrs. Bizzie Vaughn, Detroit, MI, Mrs. Notie Anderson and Mrs. Pearl Roberts, both of Silver Point; two half sisters, Mrs. Cardovia Bartlett, Silver Point and Mrs. Betty Martin, Mt. Juliet, TN. Three grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one daughterinlaw, Mrs. Pearl Kinniard of Silver Point.
