He was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Deerfield, Ohio, the son of the late Charles Herman and Rozella (Baker) Stryffeler.
Before his retirement in 1998, Mr. Stryffeler had been employed for 34 years at TRW and P.C.C. in Minerva as an X-Ray operator and was a member of the New Garden Methodist Church. He attended Augusta High School.
John served with the U>S. Navy from 1954 to 1958 and served as a hospital corpsman on the U.S. Lexington.
A brother, Homer Stryffeler, and a sister, Faye Fultz, preceded him in death.
