She was born June 16, 1934 in Augusta, Texas to the late Robert F. and Clara Susan Foster Rich. She was a homemaker and a member of Muse Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Brooks; and brothers, Fred Rich, and Elvis Rich. She is survived by daughter, Martha Susan Kennedy and husband Terry; sisters, Lois Shanks, and Jane Tyer; brothers, R.C. Rich, and Ed Rich; grandchildren, Tim Kennedy and wife Shawn, Ricky Kennedy, and Jennifer Stringfield and husband Brandon.
