Abraham Anderson, son of Abraham and Anna (Collins) Anderson, married Lucy Smith on April 13, 1788 in Windham, Maine, where they made their home. They lived in the property now known as Maplewood Farm (AKA the Anderson-Lord House) which was originally acquired in 1738. The early house was erected on this land for Edward Anderson, but Edward swapped the property for his brother Abraham's land on Windham Center Road.

He was the last person born in "The Old Province Fort". He is also listed in the Index of Revolutionary War Veterans of Maine. He owned a large tract of land and mill privileges on Pleasant River, near the village of Windham.

At the death of Parson Smith (Rev. Peter T. Smith) his properties were put up for "public vendue" to help settle his estate. Abraham apparently was the highest bidder and became the new owner of his father-in-law's land, etc. A few days later, he conveyed the property to his son Edward for the same price he paid.

Abraham and Lucy are buried in the Smith family tomb, erected by Rev. Peter T. Smith, Lucy's father and town Pastor.
