Gilbert and she preceded him in death March 14 1951. They had lived all their married life in Callaway Co. most of the time in the New Bloomfield area. Mr. Muir was a farmer and stockman and later the toll collector on the old MO. River Bridge in Jefferson City. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include four children Harold G Muir of Jefferson City, Homer T Muir of New Bloomfield, Mrs Hazel D Murphy of Hutchison , Kansas, and H. Payne Muir of Cape Girardeau; two grandsons H.T. Muir of St Joseph and Jack Muir of Poplar Bluff. He was proceeded in death by one son. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Browning Fun. home with the Rev. Frank Kirkland officiating. Internment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery."
