Charlotte Marie Berndt a 47-year resident of Wheaton.
Visitation for Charlotte Marie Berndt (nee Jonson), 75, will be on Monday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton, and on Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 515 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton, IL 60187. Interment will be in Wheaton Cemetery. Born Jan. 31, 1936, in Amery, Wis., she died on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at the DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton. Charlotte was raised in Mankato, Minn. and Chicago, Ill. She was a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., with a major in English. For 25 years, she worked in the banking industry in the Wheaton area. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Wheaton for 47 years. She had a lifelong joy of family, reading, gardening and vacationing. She is survived by her husband, Edwin of 48 years; her children, Kevin, Mary, and Nancy (Robert) Quinn; her two grandchildren, Christopher and William Quinn; a sister, Martha Miller; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sara. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the DuPage Convalescent Center Foundation, 400 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL 60187 or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
