Elvin William Craig, 83, of Decatur, died at 1:45 p.m., Sunday, June 15, 1997, at his residence.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Crescent Heights Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today at Brintlinger's Funeral Home in Decatur.

Craig was born in Olney, the son of Ezra Ward and Bertha Mae (Beck) Craig. He married Mary E. Blackorby July 15, 1945. She preceded him in death Feb. 8, 1993.

He was a member of the King Street Church of Christ. He retired from ADM and Spencer Kellogg in 1978 after 30 years of service. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Don E. Craig and his wife, Debbie L., of Warrensburg; Dean N. Craig and his wife Janet, of Dalton City; and David L. Craig, of Decatur; five grandchildren, Emily, Rachel, Michelle, Dena, and Brandon; and one sister, Edna Howell, of Porterville, Cal.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter, a grandson, a granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters.
