'Calvin C. ROGERS - Services were to be at 3 p.m. today at YODER-CULP Funeral Home for Calvin C. ROGERS, 89, formerly of Millersburg, who died at 10:35 p.m. Friday at Goshen General Hospital. He had been a patient there five weeks.
Born October 29, 1893, in Clinton township, he had lived all of his life in the area. He recently lived at 67562 C.R. 29, New Paris, with relatives.
He was a retired farmer and carpenter, and was a maintenance man at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds, Goshen.
He married Carrie STIVER July 20, 1918. She died Feb. 13, 1954. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Avis) AUST, New Paris, with whom he had made his home, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends were received Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. J.D.BLAKE, pastor of Zion United Church of Christ, Millersburg, of which ROGERS was a member, officiated at today's service.
Burial was in Brown Cemetery, Millersburg. The Millersburg American Legion post, of which he was a member, conducted graveside rites.
Mr. ROGERS was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Millersburg Lions Club, the Clinton Township advisory board and the Millersburg Telephone Co., and
a former member of the board of directors of Goshen General Hospital.
