I.; served as the Suffolk County Sup't of Highways 1909-1914 & 1918-1934; "responsible for construction of more than 200 miles of concrete road, with about 2500 miles of highway under his supervision"; member of the American Society of Civil Engineers; member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Jefferson; belonged to the Masons; funeral services at his home in Port Jefferson by Rev. Reister of the First Presbyterian Church
