The sixth son of John Henry and Selina (Daubner) Cooper (eighth of eleven children). His baby sister Alice May (twin of Alvin Ray) died in Sept. 1894.

Namesake of his Uncle Peter (1851-1889) who was shot a killed a month before his birth.

His brother James died at age 37 in Dec. 1915.

Peter served in the US Army during World War I (1917-1919).

Occupation: Farmer and Fruit grower (orchardist) and owned part of the land originally owned by his grandfather John Cooper. He was a member of the Fruit Growers of America. He also worked as an assembler for a manufacturer company (Allis-Chalmers). Peter Cooper also served as town board Chairman (West Allis) in 1928 and 1929 and town supervisor in 1930 and 1931.

Peter had blue eyes and brown hair and was the tallest of the Cooper brothers.

Like his brother Milton (who he had the closest bond with), Peter didn't marry until later in life. He was the last of his siblings to marry. On June 7, 1930, at age 40, he married Antoinette M. Kienzle (b. Aug 1906) in West Allis. They had two daughters, Ellen, b. July 1931, and Selina "Sally", b. Mar. 1936. They resided in West Allis not far from the original Cooper homestead.

His mother died on his 48th birthday in 1937.

Peter and Toni celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in June 1955. His niece Helen (Stanhope) Brousso died in Sept. 1955.

Peter Cooper died of a heart attack at age 69. He was survived by his wife, daughters Ellen Bell and Sally Roso and two grandchildren (Daniel Bell, b. Jan. 1955, and Antoinette Roso, b. June 1955). His siblings Bert, Mabel, George, Milton, Inez and Ray also survived him. He also had 7 living nephews and 4 living nieces on the Cooper side.
