He began his career on the Broadway stage in the 1930s, appearing in many theatre productions into the late 1940s. His feature film credits include "Sabrina" (1954), "Picnic" (1955), "Vertigo" (1958), "Al Capone" (1959) and "The Gallant Hours" (1960). His numerous TV appearances include "The Twilight Zone", "Have Gun Will Travel", "Perry Mason", "Mister Ed" and "Harrigan and Son". He died at age 75 in Irvine, California.
