Former Merchant and Resident of City for 35 Years Dies From Hemorrhage Brought On By Stroke
Funeral services for Roger E. Molt, former merchant of Great Falls and a resident of the city for 25 years, who died Thursday morning as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage brought on by a paralytic stroke, will be conducted early next week. Mr. Molt had lived for several years at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A.T. Smiley, 35 Sixth street southwest.
Mr. Molt came to Montana in the early '90s and built what is now the R.B. Noble store building on the west side. He conducted a store there for many years and then became interested in the Montana Grocery and Meat company on Third avenue south. Later he was employed by the Great Northern and for a time was a traveling engineer for that road. He was a Mason.
He is survived by four daughters and three sons: Mrs. Smiley, Mrs. W.C. Wright, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Earl Roden, Everett, Wash., Mrs. William Moses, Whitefish, and Theodore, Roger and Edward Molt of Great Falls;
