Wappingers Falls - Mrs. Mary Ellen Croak Brouthers, widow of the late Dan Brouthers, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Wilson, East Orange, N.J., Tuesday 6 p.m, following a long illness.
Mr. Brouthers, one of the brightest of the old time baseball stars, died two weeks ago.
Mrs. Brouthers is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles Wilson and Mrs. Lillian Fitzpatrick of East Orange, N.J.; two sons, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Cashin of East Orange; a brother, Martin Croak of Boatop, and several grandchildren.
The funeral will be held in East Orange on Friday morning. Interment will be in St. Marys Cemetery. The body will arrive here at 12:30.
