Lawrence `Larry' Albert
Lawrence "Larry" Albert, 85, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, at Methodist Hospital Hospice. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
He was born March 26, 1915. His parents were Samuel and Beatrice Albert. He married Mary (Slusher) Dennis Albert. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Steven M. Albert of Cherry Hill, N.J.; a daughter, Barbara M. (Albert) Yockey of Trafalgar; a stepdaughter, Phyllis Stout of Indianapolis; a brother, Arthur Albert of Oceanside Long Island, N.Y.; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was employed for 28 years by the U.S. Postal Service as a postal worker, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge, both in Beech Grove.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, discharged in 1938.
A private family service will be conducted. There will be no calling. Burial will be at Washington Cemetery in Monmouth Junction, N.J. Arrangements are being handled by Leppert and Hensley Mortuary, Nora Chapel, in Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Indianapolis Humane Society.
