Joseph emigrated to this country with his parents and brothers and sisters in 1832, being sixty-three days on the ocean. They left from Harve, France on board the ship "Logan Boston" and landed in Baltimore, Maryland. They lived for some time in Pennsylvania, then made their way to Ohio and finally to the Seneca-Wyandot County (Ohio) area, where the father died in 1848 and is laid to rest at McCutchenville, Ohio. The mother lived with the daughter, Regina Schenk at Sandusky City where she died in 1853 and is laid to rest.
In France the name was spelled with an (e) at the end of the name. When they came to America they dropped the (e) from their name, all except Joseph.
