Funeral services for Sidney J. Knight, 78, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. C. Boston, in Nashville, were conducted Saturday morning in a Nashville funeral home by the Rev. Phocian Gibbs and the Rev. Thomas V. Wells. Burial was in Ridgewood Cemetery here.
Mr. Knight was born and reared in Smith County where he lived until about 10 years ago, when he moved to Sumner County. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Green Valley Baptist church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Boston, and Mrs. E. B. Williams, of Springfield; two sons, Roy Knight, Nashville, Irby Knight, Toledo, O.; one sister, Mrs. Sid Pettross, Carthage; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
