Dwight L. Shaffer ,61, who lived at the Burwood Hotel, died late Saturday afternoon at a local hospital. Born Oct.12 1899 at Odell, he moved to Beatrice in 1910. Mr. shaffer was a member of the First Christian church.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Cora Morton, Beatrice and Mrs. A. J. Poage ,El Camp Texas and three brothers, C.B. Shaffer of Moorefield,Roy Shaffer and B.R. Shaffer,Beatrice.
Private memorial services were held today from the Hartman Mortuary Chapel with the Rev.George W. Campbell officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Home Cemetery. Friends may give to the First Christian Church Memorial fund.
