Herman Benjamin Watts, 76, of Amity died Sunday, March 17, 1985, at his home.
He was born July 1, 1908 in Pike County near Kirby, the son of Henry Watts and
Lurinda Whisenhunt Watts.
He was first married to Lessie Browning who preceded him in death on November
13, 1964 and then to Argie Hancock Smith who proceded him in death on May 13,
1982. He was married to Jessie Blanche Hill on August 29, 1984.
He was a lifetime resident of Clark, County, a retired boiler maker for Arkansas
Power and Light Company, and a member of the Full Gospel Church in Amity.
Survivors are his wife, Jessie Blanche Watts of Amity; two daughters, Verline
McKinnon of Hot Springs and Hazel McKinnon of Glenwood; seven step children; a
brother, O.W.Watts of California; a half-brother, Tom Markham of Oklahoma; two
sisters, Barbara Tigue of Amity and Allie Killian of Glenwood; two half-sisters,
Dottie Snell of Hot Springs and Vera Perez of Houston, Texas; Three
grandchildren; Seven step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 23
Services were held Tuesday, March 19, in the Tabernacle of Bethsaida Cemetery
with Elder Bobby Golden officiating. Burial was in Bethsaida Cemetery by Davis
