Willard Clyde Ferrell

Willard Clyde Ferrell, 78, Independence, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998, at Truman Medical Center, Kansas City.

Mr. Ferrell was born June 16, 1919, in Appalachia, Va., and had lived in this area most of his life. He retired in 1984 from Hanna Rubber Co., Kansas City, with 12 years of service. He was a member of the Star Twirlers Square Dancers. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Ferrell, who also died on Jan. 3, 1998. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Redina Martin on Nov. 19, 1997.

His survivors include four sons, Ron Ferrell, Grandview, Mo., Bill Ferrell, Creighton, Mo., Larry Ferrell, Columbia, Kan., and Frankie Ferrell, Claremore, Okla.; a daughter, Crystal Morris, Ironton, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Private services; cremation. Entombment will be in Lawrence, Kan. Arrangements are under the direction of Mortician`s Services, Kansas City.
