BornJuly 30, 1928, in Bridgeport, he was the son of Guy and Mae Schritchfield Eckiss. He owned and operated Bob's Tire Repair in Bridgeport and was a member of the Bridgeport Assembly of God Church.
He was married to Helen B. Heath Eckiss and she survives. Other survivors inclued two daughters Kathy Pemberton, Indianapolis, Ind., Barbara Eckiss, Bridgeport; a sister Donna Hill, Bridgeport; and one grandson.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cunningham Funeral Home, Bridgeport, with the rev Larry Best officiating. Interment will follow in Bridgeport City Cemetery.
