Anita Mae Cook, age 77, of Harrison, passed away Monday, Jan. 17 (2011) at Bristol Pointe Nursing Home, Harrison.

The daughter of Floyd Walton and Myrtle (Gibson) Walton was born May 21, 1933, at Pruitt. Anita was a member of the Union Baptist Church and a lifetime resident of Harrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her little sister, Barbara Sue Walton; and her first husband, Dale Hardy.

She is survived by her husband, William E. Cook of the home; sons, Mike Hardy of Walters, Okla. and William Eddie Cook and wife Ann of Harrison; daughters, Pam Hardy Holmes and husband Sam of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Judy Lindstrom of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Dawna Lowe and husband Bill of Harrison; brothers, Leo Walton, Bill Walton and Donnie Walton; sisters, Evelyn Walton Colston, Katherine Walton Nance, Shirley Walton Cooper and Wauhillia Walton Dotson; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Coffman Funeral Home, Harrison, with the Rev. Darren Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Love Cemetery with Anita's grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at the funeral home.
