Services for Robert E. Bauman, 54, of Anadarko will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Anadarko High School auditorium with the Rev. Don Wright and Lynn Bellamy officiating.

Bauman was born September 14, 1939 in Anadarko. Bauman suffered from a lengthy illness and died Sunday at his home in Anadarko. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark Bauman and Lottie Margie Thompson Bauman.

He graduated from Anadarko High School in 1957 and served four years in the United States Navy. He and the former Betty Ann Watson were married October 25, 1963 in Anadarko. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for over 30 years and retired on October 9 of this year. He was involved in youth programs in the community, coaching Little League Baseball and assisting with several other youth projects. He was a founding member of the Anadarko Take Down Club and was a member of the Anadarko Lions' Club where he served as president and held other offices in the club. Bauman received the Anadarko Chamber of Commerce man of the year award in November.

Survivors are his wife of the home; a son of Anadarko; a sister, Betty Brewer of Stillwater; two brothers, James Bauman of Chickasha and Donald Bauman of Duncan; his mother-in-law, Margaret Watson McDowell of Anadarko; two brothers-in-law, Bobby Watson of Anadarko and Billy Watson of Yukon; and family friend, Leah Wood.

Burial will be in Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Chapel.
