Services for Edween Myers, of Brookhaven, were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst, with burial in Hazlehurst Cemetery.
Mrs. Myers, 94, died Jan. 30, 2008, at her residence. She was a native of Copiah County and had previously lived in Jackson from 1940 until 1993, before moving to Brookhaven in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Myers, in 1986.
Survivors are her sons, Ben Edd Myers and wife Betty Jo, of Brookhaven, James Nichols "Nick" Myers and wife Nell, of Jackson, and Hal Prine Myers and wife Georgia, of Brookhaven; her sister, Olene Brown, of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Kim Myers, Ben Edd Myers Jr., Suzanne Hambrick, Nick Myers Jr., Denise Williams, Tracey Johnson, Tiffany Windham, Lacie Smith and Corey Myers; her 20 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; six great-great-great-grandchildren; and her devoted caretaker, Marilyn Beeson.
